The exhibitors will present the latest product developments on site and invite visitors for personal meetings. At the same time, maximum safety precautions such as mandatory FFP2 masks for all participants ensure the best possible conditions for the fair. In addition to the live event, a top-class lecture program will be held digitally.
Despite the short-notice cancellations by some exhibitors at the SPS in Nuremberg, the SPS 2021 will take place as a presence event. More than 700 exhibitors are represented on-site and will be offering visitors a wide range of products and services around smart and digital automation. With the digital add-on, the “SPS on air”, the SPS remains the most important platform for the automation industry this year.
Based on the new catalog of measures by the Bavarian State Government, which came into effect on 6 November, the SPS 2021 will take place in Nuremberg, Germany at the end of November under the German 2G conditions for those that have been vaccinated against, or have recovered from COVID-19.
Taking into account the current Corona regulation by the Bavarian government, the SPS will take place from 23 – 25 November 2021 in Nuremberg under the German 3G plus rule.
2020 is over and with it the first entirely virtual SPS. By 31 December 2020, the SPS Connect platform had played host to a total of 9,121 visitors, seen interactions with 239 exhibitors, facilitated 4,296 business meetings, and delivered a wealth of information about the latest products in the automation industry. In 2021, however, the event is once again set to take place in person from 23 to 25 November in Nuremberg.
With the live days of the SPS Connect now over, visitors are able to take a look at their main topics of interest. The talks and lectures held by leading experts worldwide are now available on-demand until 31 December, as is the opportunity to continue chat discussions.
Due to corona, Formnext Connect, the digital version of Formnext, the industry’s leading platform for additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing, made its debut from 10-12 November 2020. The success of the virtual event exceeded all expectations and shows the potential and benefits of digital communication platforms for all participants.
